Visit to India – Dehli – 19.11.19

On November 19, 2019, in Delhi, we had the chance to be the Guests of Honor for Amity’s “Founder’s day celebration”. We were particularly interested in the “Amitasha program” for girls who benefit from scholarships for their studies, books, uniform, meals and health insurance – http://www.amity.edu/amitasha.

Founded in April 2007, Amitasha enables approximately 1,000 girls per year to attend school and receive quality education from infancy to grade 12.  The Founder Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan and the President Dr. Amita Chauhan are deeply invested in education especially to give these girls a better future and allow them to dream and achieve their dreams : “Nurture her dreams today and tomorrow she will make yours come true”.

SWW is looking into the possibility of supporting some of the Amitasha girls after their schooling, Asha means hope.
